Full program

  • 30 Hours of Classroom Training
  • 8 Hours of On-Road Training

30 Hours of Classroom Training (ZOOM MEET ONLY)

$150.00 (Payable 1st Class)

This program includes the CT State Mandated 8-Hour Drug & Alcohol / Safety Program and 2-Hour "Parent's Class". This program will enable student eligibility for obtaining their driver's license after holding their learner's permit for 120 days and they may be eligible for an insurance discount (please check with your carrier).

Please note: As part of the Drug & Alcohol / Safety Program, parents must attend the 2-Hour "Parent's Class" by joining Zoom via your own device OR sit with your teen for the meet.   Students 18+ do not need a parent in attendance.

Also note: If your teen obtains their learner's permit BEFORE beginning Driver's Ed, please register and have them start the classroom training immediately (even if their time is limited & can only attend 1 class within the session). This will enable you to schedule the "On-Road" driving lessons in a timely manner, as our schedules book-up very quickly!

Making up missed classes:
Each class runs in 2-hour increments, are separate modules numbered 1-15 and sessions are repeated on a monthly basis. If classes are missed during any given session, simply look for the number of the missed class(es) and the "make up" date on any of the upcoming schedules (see "SCHEDULES" link on home page). There is no time limit for completing these programs. Unfortunately, refunds will not be issued after attending the 1st class.

DMV license testing

License testing is for ADS students only!

Parents/teens are responsible for signing up for the license test.

Space is limited and dates fill up very quickly, so please plan accordingly.

The DMV Inspectors come to ADS on a monthly basis (usually the first 3 Wednesdays of each month) for license testing ONLY during weekday mornings, therefore a few hours of school will be missed. Once testing is completed, a 30-day temporary license is issued. After waiting 24 hours, visit the DMV website & make payment of $84 for your permanent license, which will be sent via USPS. An instruction sheet will be provided by ADS. One week prior to the test date, you will receive a "License Testing Info" email containing time to arrive, fees, an important deadline & an attachment (Form CI-12).

Please be sure you are eligible to test before signing up for a testing date.

For those students 16-20 years old, registered for the 8 Hour Drug & Alcohol Safety Program ONLY and want to take the license test @ ADS, a 2 Hour Driving Lesson is required (please see pricing above).

License testing for adults 21+ must be done at DMV branch offices.
